MAM postal Ballot underway - up to 7th December - 17/11/2009

MAM elections are currently in progress.

There are FIVE vacant posts for officials aand

six vacant posts for category representatives.

Category representative for Category E (doctors in private practice full time) is uncontested.

Total Number of votes issued 749.

Category A - Consultants - 150
Category B - Reg and sen. reg - 126
Category C - Houseman + SHO - 217
Category D - Health centre doc - 76
Category E - ..................- 145
Category F - Miscellaneous - 35

Please note that the Election Commission has decided that

1. Doctors in public health to be classified exactly as those in the clinical stream
2. GP trainees to be placed in Category D
3. Doctors in "staff grade" to be placed in Category F
